Day 49

Kirkintilloch to Drymen, 18 miles, of which 10 was on a disused railway and the last 7 were on the West Highland Way.
Good weather again but not as warm as forecast.
We are staying at the same b&b in Drymen as we stayed at when we walked the West Highland Way 4 years ago but it's gone sadly down market.

  1. Your rubbish blog software just deleted my witty and amusing comment before it was posted.

Anyway, to repeat myself in a less witty way, "sadly down market" is an apt description for Reading in the second half. First half was much more positive, but I don't know whether you'd found your pub with TV by then. Hope the Burnley fan wasn't too smug - they'll need to invest substantially if they get past Sheffield Utd. Can't believe that Marcus let either goal past him, especially the second, and I expect he'll be one of many to leave the club this summer once the new man comes in.

At least you won't miss out on a trip to Wembley on bank holiday Monday, and the rest of us can get on with some gardening....
